Dear Sisters,
Among the many reasons to be proud to be a Theta is our national philantropic partnership with Court Appointed Special Advocates. CASA volunteers give a voice to abused and neglected children who have been removed from their homes and placed in foster care, navigating the court system on their behalf and providing a stable adult presence during a scary and turbulent time in a child's life. In furtherance of Theta's fraternity ideals of service and leadership, we encourage you to get involed by volunteering your time and/or finiancial support to this worthy cause.
Loyally,
Megan Phillips, '89, Board President, and
Linda Walsworth, '79, Board Member
How Kappa Alpha Theta Supports CASA
CASA is the national philantropic cause of Kappa Alpha Theta. Thetas are involed with CASA in many ways.
Here's how you can contribute:
- Volunteer for a local CASA program by assisting with fundraising, supporting CASA volunteer advocates, or providing items for CASA children.
- Become a CASA volunteer advocate yourself.
- Many Theta collegiate and alumnae chapters host annual fundraisers to support CASA. Your involvement is vital to the success of these important events.
- Leadership opportunities are available on local CASA program boards and the Missouri CASA Board, which has enjoyed Theta representation since 2002.
- Provide finiancial support to the Missouri CASA Association or your local CASA program. Donate now!
On behalf of the CASA children, we thank Kappa Alpha Theta for their continued support!
